Before We
Build Your Authority

Before I engineer a single piece of content for your business, I need to understand it completely. This questionnaire is the foundation of everything. The more honest and specific your answers, the sharper your authority system will be.

Be specific — list your main products or services.
02
How long have you been in business?
03
What platforms are you currently active on?
Tick all that apply.
04
What is your current average posting frequency?
05
In one or two sentences, how do you currently describe your business to a new customer?
Write it exactly as you would say it out loud.
02
06
Describe your ideal customer in as much detail as possible.
Think about: age, lifestyle, what they do for work, how they spend their weekends, what they worry about, what they want more of.
07
What is the main problem your business solves for this person?
Not what you sell — what problem disappears when they buy from you?
08
What does your ideal customer typically say or think before they find you?
What words, phrases, or questions do they use when looking for a business like yours?
09
What does your ideal customer feel AFTER buying from you or using your service?
Think about the emotional outcome — not just the practical result.
10
Who is NOT your ideal customer?
Describe the type of client or customer you do not want — or who is a poor fit for what you offer.
03
11
Who are your main competitors? List up to three.
These can be local, online, or both.
12
What do most competitors in your space do that you deliberately do NOT do?
13
What do you do that no competitor in your space does — or does as well as you?
This is your real differentiator. Be honest and specific.
14
If a customer chose a competitor over you, what is usually the reason?
Price? Awareness? Perception? Something else?
15
Are there any businesses — inside or outside your industry — whose content or brand presence you admire? Which ones, and why?
These do not have to be competitors. Just businesses that look or feel the way you want to.
04
16
How would you honestly describe your current content?
Tick the option that best applies.
17
What type of content has gotten the best response from your audience so far?
Even if it was just one post — what worked?
18
What do you feel your content is currently missing?
Be as honest as you can. This is where most of the work will happen.
19
Have you ever received a comment, DM, or feedback that made you feel your content was truly working? What was it?
If not, describe what that would look like.
20
How would you rate your current content's ability to build trust with a total stranger?
1 = They would not trust us at all. 10 = They would feel confident buying before we even spoke.
Does not build trust Builds trust immediately
05
21
What is the single most important thing you want your content to achieve in the next 3 months?
Choose the one that matters most right now.
22
What does success look like for you at the end of Month 1 working together?
Be specific — numbers, feelings, outcomes. Whatever success means to you.
23
Are there any upcoming events, launches, promotions, or dates we need to plan content around?
List anything in the next 60–90 days.
24
What is your content budget for assets, photography, or paid promotion — if any?
This helps us plan what is possible within your resources.
25
Is there anything about your business, your audience, or your content situation that you think I need to know — that no one has ever asked you about?
This is your space to say anything you feel is important.
06

If your brand were a person, how would you describe their personality?

27
What tone do you want your content to have?

28
Are there words, phrases, or styles you want us to AVOID in your content?
Any language that feels wrong for your brand — or that competitors use that you hate.
29
Do you have existing brand assets? Tick what is available.
We will use these to maintain consistency across all content.
30
In one sentence — what do you want people to feel when they see your content?
This becomes the emotional north star for everything we create.
